Les calanques
Close to Marseille, Cassis, small ciy with rocks, clifs and sea. It’s sunny and hot even with the wind, and it’s almost blue, so blue, so beautiful "bleu azur"! Wild, and quite early in the morning, you have flowers in the spring and, small trails. It’s a paradise for hiking, and swimming. But, as soon as the sun is high, the crowds of tourists are coming…. Pffff, it’s to hot, you suffer… to much people, and all is expensive on the Riviera! I like the spots but not the mind. I prefer my countryside.
But I was so happy to have a long long talk with my former theater-teacher, from Marseille and retired there... 89 years old, noble soul, and so smart man.
And I saw the “carriers de lumières” in Baux de Provence, to many tourists too, to much expensive country, but beautiful, and Chagal and Jean Cocteau to amaze such cliffs. With paints in projection and the last movie of the life of Cocteau too….
